TIRUMALA, NOVEMBER 4: With an aim to provide hassle free darshan and accommodation to more number of pilgrims thronging Tirumala, the temple management of TTD is encouraging planned component of pilgrimage to Tirumala which is possible through Aadhaar card, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.
The TTD administrative chief while taking the calls from pilgrims across the country during the monthly “Dial your EO” programme on Friday at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala, urged the pilgrims to bring Aadhaar card with them during their pilgrimage to Tirumala which is mandatory. “If in the case of void of Aadhaar, any other ID card is must to have a convenient stay and darshan in Tirumala. We need to encourage planned component to enable more number of pilgrims to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara”, he reiterated.

A Pilgrim caller Sri Dakshinamurthy from Chennai suggested the EO dispense photo while booking on-line arjitha Seva tickets as in the case of Rs.300 darshan for which the EO assured him this will be implemented from next time onwards.
ANIMATED VERSION OF VENKATESWARA MAHATYAM
Another pilgrim from Beemavaram, Sri Srinivas has give an innovative idea of telecasting an animated version of Venkateswara Mahatyam on SVBC for the sake of children, which was welcomed by EO.
MORE BATTERY CARS SOON
A Karimnagar based devotee, Sri Srihari requested the EO to change the entry point for aged people, as the existing one is very far away from temple for which EO replied that very soon seven to eight battery cars will be arranged by TTD for the transportation of aged and physically challenged. “We are also looking for better place to reduce the distance”, he added.
REST HOUSES IN TPT TO BE DEVELOPED ON THE LINES OF TML
Mumbai based pilgrim Sri Vishnu Teja sought EO to make better arrangements in Vishnu Nivasam in Tirupati as the accommodation here lacking hygiene. Answering the caller the EO said, soon all the rest houses in Tirupati will be developed in the lines of Tirumala with a special attention.
DIVYA DARSHANAM ARRANGEMENTS ARE GOOD
While complimenting the new Divya Darshanam complex opened up by TTD for the sake of pedestrian pilgrims, a pilgrim caller Sri Prasad from Hyderabad suggested EO to improve the congestion between Vendi Vakili and Bangaru Vakili while allowing the pilgrims for darshan. Similar queries were asked by Sri Nageswara Reddy from Anantapur. Replying them the EO said, TTD has been doing a lot of exercise to avoid congestion in this point and very soon it will come out with a professional solution.
BEST FOOD AT ANNAPRASADAM
When Hyderabad caller Smt Indira brought to the notice of EO about the low standards of food available in hotels at Tirumala, the EO answered her, TTD is doing regular checks. However, in our Annaprasadam we provide excellent quality and hygienic menu. I urge very pilgrim to make use of this facility”, he added.
SHELTERS IN MADA STREETS
A Pilgrim caller from Chennai, Smt Jamuna suggested the EO to provide temporary shelters during annual Brahmotsavams in galleries of four mada streets as a preventive measure from inclement weather during Vahana sevas. Answering her, he said, as the galleries stretch to long distance, it is not possible to lay shelter, as they obstruct the view of pilgrims sitting behind.
DECORATION TO VAHANAMS TOO
Sri Varaprasad from Nellore suggested the EO to decorate even the Garuda, Hanuma and Sesha vahanams during arjitha Brahmotsavams along with deities for which EO said decision will be taken after discussing with pundits.
WORKS OF TEMPLE COMPLETED SOON
Another pilgrim caller Smt Radha from Peethapuram brought to the notice of EO about the construction of Lord Venkateswara temple which has been pending since long time in Peethapuram, for which the EO said the engineering wing will be instructed to complete it soon.
FLOWERS TO LORD SEVA
A pilgrim caller Sri Mukunda from Bengaluru sought EO whether TTD will accept flowers for Lord’s Seva for which EO said TTD accepts donations from flower donors for Brahmotsavams, Pushpayagam etc. in huge quantities. He will get the required information from the concerned officials soon.

SVV IN MUMBAI, NEW JERSEY AND TEXAS IN NOVEMBER – TTD EO
One of the most important religious activity of TTD, Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams will be observed in Mumbai, New Jersey and Texas in this month, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.
Before taking the calls from pilgrims during “Dial your EO” programme, held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the EO briefed on some important activities undertaken by TTD. He said the SVV will be performed by TTD in Mumbai from November 8-12 in Somaiah grounds in Chembur. While in US, the fete will be observed from November 18-20 in New Jersey and in Texas from November 25-27.
While complimenting the strong work force of TTD and pilgrims for making the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara which were held from October 3-11 in Tirumala, he invited the pilgrims to take part in Sri Padmavathi Ammavru Brahmotsavams in Tiruchanoor from November 26 to December 4. “The annual Pushpayagam of Tirumala will also be telecasted live on SVBC on November 7 for the sake of global pilgrims”, he added.
He said on the lines of Rs.300 darshan complex, TTD has commenced Divya Darshanam complex meant for foot path pilgrims from November 1. “In this complex, the devotees can keep their luggage, procure LADDU tickets, have beverages and snacks and relax till their turn for darshan”, he added. The EO also said, TTD has cancelled collection of caution deposits to all the rest houses in Tirumala from October 24 onwards for the sake of pilgrims.
The EO said TTD along with Endowments Department, will be observing VIII phase of Managudi in 12,480 temples located across the two Telugu states from November 11-14 in a big way and invited all the local philanthropists, Srivari sevakulu, Bhajana Mandalis to involve in this massive religious programme in their respective areas.
The TTD administrative chief said, TTD has been chosen as one of the most ideal smart cities under Swacch Bharat mission. “The public sector institutions like Coal India and ONGC have come forward to sanction funds to us as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility”, he expressed.
Giving a comparative statement of the improvements achieved by TTD in various service sectors, the EO said, over 24.58 Lakh pilgrims had darshan this year in the month of October as against 21.43 lakhs during last.
Similarly this year we have prepared almost one crore laddus which is a historical achievement. “When about 85.29 Lakh laddus were distributed last year, the figure stood at 98.76 lakhs in this October which is 13.47 lakhs more”, he observed.
In Annaprasadam over 21.29 Lakh pilgrims had free food in last October while this year the month recorded 25.12 lakhs, he mentioned.
Tirumala Jeo Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Tirupati Jeo Sri P Bhaskar, All Projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao and other officers were also present.
