PULSE POLIO AWARENESS RALLY TAKEN OUT IN TIRUMALA

TIRUMALA, APRIL 1: The temple administration of TTD has made elaborate arrangements to organise the 22rd phase of pulse polio programme on the hill town on Sunday and as a part of it the medical wing of TTD has taken out a grand campaign rally in the streets of Tirumala on Saturday.

The awareness rally led by the Aswini Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr AB Narmada and Kalyana Katta Complex Dispensary Medical Superintendent Dr Kusuma, flagged off from SV High School premises in Tirumala and covered all the major junctions and lanes including Balaji Nagar Residential area, CRO, RTC Bus Stand before it concluded in Aswini hospital. The school Head Master Sri Kishen Naik, hospital doctors, nursing staff, SVIMS staffs and scores of school children took part in the campaign rally.

Meanwhile TTD has set up 25 centres at various points for the benefit of locals as well as visiting pilgrims. Out of these 25, 17 cater to the needs of the pilgrims while remaining 8 will serve the locals.

The parents of the infants (who are aged between 0-5 years) are requested to make use of this programme on Sunday April 2 which will be from 7am to 6pm. Those who fail to administer polio drops to their infants will be administered drops 3rd and 4th of April in the morphing programme.
