RAMANUJACHARYA AVATAROTSAVAMS FROM APRIL 14-24

TIRUPATI, APRIL 10: The Avatarotsavams of ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara of 11th century who pioneered various rituals in Sri Tirumala temple, Sri Ramanujacharya will be observed from 14 to 24 of April across the southern states apart from Tirupati under the aegis of TTD’s Alwar Divya Prabandha Project.

Born in 1017 AD in Sriperumbudur of Tamilnadu, Saint Sri Ramanujacharya was theologian, philosopher and scriptural exegete and one of the most important Acaryas of Sri Vaishnavism who successfully carried out the preachings and served the Lord with devotion and dedication in his 120long years of life span before he breathed his last in Sriragam of Tamilnadu in 1137AD.

As a befitting tribute to the great soul Ttd observes his Avatarotsavams every years across ten major cities in the states of AP, TN and Karnataka.

This year from April 14-16, this religious fete will be observed in Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram, Melkote of Tamilnadu and Bangalore in Karnataka. As a part of this special devotional programme will be conducted in Sri Kalyana Ramanujacharya Kuttam in Tirumangai Alwar steet of Sriperumbudur from 1pm to 4pm, in Ulagarinda Perumal Sannidhi in Kanchipuram from 6pm to 9pm, in Government sanskrit college of Melkote from 1pm to 4pm and in Sri Radhakrishna temple located in Sanjay Nagar of Bangalore from 4pm to 7pm on these days.

While in AP, the Avatarotsavams will be observed in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Kothagullu of Vijayawada from April17-19 between 5:30pm to 8:30pm during these days. In Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Madhurantakam this fete will be observed from April 19-21 between 6pm to 9pm.

This religious fete will be observed in Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati from April 22-24 between 5:30pm to 9pm. In Tiruchi, Vizag and Hyderabad also this fete is observed on April 22,23 and 24 in Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple located in BHEL township, Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple of Peddawaltair and Sri Ahobila Mutt in DD Colony respectively in these three cities between 6pm to 9pm.

The Project In-charge special officer Sri VG Chokkalingam will be supervising Bhagavat Sri Ramanujacharya Avatarotsavams in these places.
