RECORD 91% OCCUPANCY- Rs 1.16 CR IN BRAHMOTSAVAM

Tirumala, 23 September 2015: The Reception, the massive hospitality wing of the TTD set a new record with 91% occupancy of rooms in the ongoing Salakatla Brahmotsvams and also netted a revenue of Rs. 1.06 crore.

Disclosing this to reporters at the Media Center today the DEO Reception,Sri Rama Rao said as per the direction of the Executive Officer Sri D Sambashiv Rao, the reception department had made elaborate publicity about availability of rooms on a day to day basis for convenience of the devotees.

He said as against 85% occupancy during 2014 Brahmotsavams,TTD had achieved 91% occupancy in spite of slack season due to Ganesh festival. ‘We earned a whopping Rs.26 lakhs additionally and record of Rs. Five lakhs additional every day this year over last years ‘ he said.

Among other officials who participated were Sri Haridranath (R_II), and Smt Jhansi Raniu – (RIII).
