RS.300 CURRENT BOOKING COUNTER OPENED BY TTD BOARD CHIEF

TIRUPATI, NOVEMBER 13: The re-opening of Rs.300 current booking counters will enable comfortable darshan for those pilgrims who come to Tirumala without prior planning, said TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.
Inaugurating the Rs.300 current booking counters at Srinivasam Complex in Tirupati on Friday, the chairman said, “The intention of honourable CM of AP Sri N Chandrababu Naidu is to provide hassle free, comfortable darshan to every one. Accordingly this darshan system was reinstated with an aim to provide darshan for pilgrims as well locals who want to have darshan of Lord on the same day”, he added.
Trust board member Sri G Bhanuprakash Reddy, IT wing head and GM Transport Sri Sesha Reddy, PRO Dr T Ravi and others were also present.
Meanwhile Smt. Padmavathi, a pilgrim devotee hailing from Udipi of Karnataka received the first ticket from the Chairman soon after opening of the counter.
TTD has opened up three counters which will operate from 9am to 5pm every day. The pilgrims have to produce their proof of identity(Adhaar, Driving licence, voter card or Ration card) and give their thumb impression (left hand fore finger) for current booking of Rs.300 darshan ticket. The tickets will be issued on first come first basis till the availability of quota of tickets. From Monday to Thursday, a quota of 5000 tickets will be issued on each day while during week ends, Friday to Sunday, a quota of 5000 tickets for three days has been allotted.
