SAHASRA KALASABHISHEKAM AND HANUMAD VAHANA SEVA OBSERVED ON FRIDAY
MAIDEN SURYAPRABHA VAHANA SEVA IN KRT ON RADHASAPTHAMI
Tirupati, 27 January 2017: The ancient and famous shrine of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy in Tirupati has set ready to inaugurate its first ever Surya Prabha Vahana seva on the occasion of Surya Jayanthi Mahotsavam on February 3.
Usually in Tirumala, the annual Surya Jayanthi festival which is otherwise known as Radhasapthami is observed in a big way with Lord Malayappa Swamy taking celestial ride on seven vahanams on a single day from dawn to desk beginning with Surya Prabha Vahanam and concluding with Chandra Prabha Vahana sevas.
In Sri Kodanda Rama temple, the processional deity of Lord Sri Rama will take celestial ride on Surya Prabha Vahanam by 8am and on Chandra Prabha vahanam in the evening by 7pm on this auspicious day for the first time in the history of temple.
TWO DARK MOON PHASE SEVAS OBSERVED
Meanwhile on Friday, following Amavasya-the dark moon phase, Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and Hanumantha Vahana sevas were observed in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple.
