SAKSHATKARA VAIBHAVOTSAVAM POSTERS RELEASED

Tirupati, 24 June 2014: TTD EO on Tuesday released the posters of the three-day annual Sakshatkara Vaibhavotsavams  of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy in Srinivasa Mangapuram which are slated from July 2 to4 in his bungalow in Tirupati on Tuesday evening.

According to Historical evidences , dated 22nd March 1540A.D. the Temple was brought to Worship by doing Jeernodharana by Chinni Thirumalacharyulu, the grandson of great saint Sri Talapaka Annamacharylu. 

In 1940A.D. an Archaka Swamy by name Sundararaju came from Tamilnadu to Srinivasa Mangapuram. He shared his dream with the villagers by saying that in his dream Lord Vekateswara Swamy appeared and asked him to bring the temple to past glory by performing Deepa Naivedya Aaradhana and disppeared.

As per the advice of Lord, the priest Sundaraju, with the help of villagers performed first pooja on July 1940 which was coincided on Ashada Suddha Shasti Day.

To mark the auspicious day of revival of Nitya Pooja Kaikaryam, TTD has been conducting this festival as Sakshatkara Vaibhavotsavam on Ashada Suddha Shasti Day in the month of June/July every year.

This festival is considered to be as important on par with the annual brahmotsavams. The temple administration of TTD has all set to celebrate this festival in a big way this year considering its significance.

As a part of it, the processional deity will take celestial ride on Golden Tiruchi on first day and on Hanumantha and Garuda Vahanams on the remaining two days respectively.
