SERVICES OF VETURI RECALLED

Tirupati, 29 August 2016: The impeccable services of eminent scholar Sri Veturi Prabhakara Shastry to Telugu have been recalled on the occasion of his 66th Death anniversary in Tirupati on Monday.

After paying floral tributes to life size bronze statue of the stalwart in Tirupati, the services Dyeo of TTD Sri L Vijayasaradhi termed Sri Veturi as a multifaceted personality. “He was the person who brought to limelight the first Telugu word ‘Nagabu’ and also did vigorous research on Annamaiah kritis”, he added.

Later SVETA Director Sri T Anjaneyulu said, TTD has establishes Sri Veturi Prabhakara Shastry Vangmaya Peetham and doing rigorous research on his great works. ” Today Sri Gidugu Ramurthy Panthulu birth Anniversary also who also strived for the cause of Telugu”, he maintained.
Later TTD Publications special officer Sri Prayaga Rama Krishna said the achievements of Sri Veturi to Telugu literature. “We are organising seminars in varsities on Veturi works. On August 30 there will be seminar in Nagarjuna University”, he added.
