SHOBHA YATRA OF UTSAVARULA SWARNA KIREETAM IN TIRUPATI

Tirupati, 26 March 2014: In connection with annual brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Tirupati which is slated to start from March 28, the Shobha Yatra of “Utsavarula Swarna Kireetam” has been performed in Tirupati on Wednesday evening.

As a part of this Yatra, Utsava Kireetam brought from the treasury of Sri Varu, was taken out on a colourful procession in the streets of

Tirupati from Alipiri Padalu to Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple. This crown will be decorated to the Utsava Murthy of Lord Sri Rama during the brahmotsavams.

Meanwhile, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju handed over the crown to his Tirupati counterpart Sri P Bhaskar near Garuda Statue at Alipiri. The crown was later handed over to TTD EO Sri MG Gopal at Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple which marked the ceremonious completion of Shobha Yatra.

All the busy streets in Tirupati were chock-a-block with denizens taking a look at the grandeur of the crown with devotion chanting “Govinda-Sri Rama”.

Srivari temple Deputy EO Sri C Ramana, GT Temple Dy EO Sri Chandrasekhara Pillai, Bokkasam Incharge Sri Gururaja and others were also present.
