SPEAKER PATS TTD FOR SPREADING GREEN BELT IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 18 July 2016: The Honourable Speaker of AP Assembly Dr Kodela Siva Prasad is all praise for TTD towards spreading the greenery in the hill town of Tirumala in an exceptional manner.

Dr K Siva Prasad paved a visit on Monday evening to all the nurseries grown by TTD at various places in Tirumala including the red sanders, sandal wood, ornamental and forest-medicinal plants.

The Deputy conservator of Forests of TTD Sri Sivaram Prasad explained him about the sandalwood plantation, redsanders plantation and other important plantation programme taken up by TTD to save the ecology.

Later speaking to media persons, the Speaker complimented TTD for its efforts to spread green belt by widely taking up plantation programme. “Every one of us should feel that tree is also a part of our family. We should take up the plantation programme as a mission”, he maintained.

Earlier on his arrival at the Sri Krishna Rest House was accorded warm welcome by JEO Sri K.S.Sreenivasa Raju, at Tirumala on Monday evening.
