SRI GT TO OBSERVE MANAVALA MAHAMUNI VARISHIKOTSAVAMS

Tirupati, 25 October 2016: The famous shrine of Lord Sri Govinda Raja Swamy is set to observe the annual fete of Sri Manavala Mahamuni, an ardent Sri Vaishnava Acharya from October 26 till November 4.

Manavala Mahamuni (1370–1443) was a Hindu Sri Vaishnava religious leader, of the 15th century, born in Tamil Nadu. With the help of his eight disciples he spread Sri Vaishnavism and established places of learning to teach Visishtadwaita philosophy.

The Manavala Mahamuni Sattumorai will be observed on November 4.
