SRI KODANDA RAMA SWAMY ANNUAL PAVITHROTSAVAM FROM AUG 10 TO AUG 12

Tirupati, 5 August 2015: The Annual Pavithrotsavam in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Tirupati will be conducted from Aug 10 to Aug 12 told Dr D Sambasiva Rao, Executive Officer, TTDs.

Among the series of festivals which are being performed every year in this unique Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple Pavitrotsavams are considered to be significant as this happens to be a purifacatory festival.

The priests symbolically seek the pardon of the Lord for their possible acts of all omissions and commissions committed either knowingly or unknowingly during the performance of daily rituals to the presiding deity inside the temple.

TTD EO released the posters on Wednesday at his Chamber in TTD Adm Bldg, Tirupati. The three day Pavithrotsavams in the famed temple of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy commence with Ankurarpanam on August 9. While the other important days include Pavithra Prathista on August 10, Pavithra samarpana on August 11, Purnathi on August 12.

Grihastabhaktas will be allowed to take part in this festival on payment of amount of Rs.500 for which a couple will be allowed.

Tirupati Joint Executive Officer Sri Pola Bhaskar, Addl FACAO Sri O Balaji, DyEO Sri Bhupathi Reddy and others were also present.
