SRI PAT GEARS UP FOR BIG FETE-LAKSHA KUMKUMARCHANA ON MONDAY

TIRUPATI, 6 December 2015: The temple town of Tiruchanoor has geared up for lakshakumkumarchana on December 7 on the eve of annual Karthika Brahmotsavams.

This religious fete will be performed from 7am to 12 noon where in the archakas chant divine names of Goddess placing the Utsavamurthi in mukhamandapam and perform puja with vermilion.

The Grihastas will be allowed to take part in this fete on payment of Rs.1116 per ticket for which two persons will be allowed.

ANKURARPANAM: On the same day evening Ankurarpanam-the celestial seed sowing festival will be observed in the temple between 6:30 pmand 8:30pm.

The temple of Goddess Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor is all set to celebrate the nine-day mega religious fete of annual karthika brahmotsavams which will commence from December 8 and conclude on December 16.

In the nine fete, the important days include Gaja Vahanam on December 12, followed by Garuda Vahana seva on December 13 and the most important Panchami Teertham on December 16, the final day of the Navahnika Brahmotsavams.

Meanwhile the entire premises of the temple town donned a festive look with festoons, colourful rangolis, floral decorations and pandals. Adding to its beauty, the dazzling illumination cutouts enhanced the glamour.
