SRI PAT TEMPLE TO BE CLOSED FOR OVER 12HOURS ON AUGUST 7

Tiruchanoor, 29 July 2017: The famous shrine of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor will be closed for over 12 hours from 4:30pm on August 7 till 4am on August 8 in connection with lunar eclipse.

The Grahanam phase will last from 10:52pm on August 7 till 12:48am on August 8. However it is a traditional practice in all TTD shrines to close the temple main doors six hours prior to the eclipse.

The temple doors will again re-open on August 8 after performing Suddhi, Punyahavachanam etc. The sarva darshan of the presiding deity will commence after 7:30am on August 8. Apart from Goddess shrine, the other sub-shrines including Sri Krishna Swamy, Sri Sunderaraja Swamy, Sri Surya Narayana Swamy are also remain closed till the eclipse phase is completed.

TTD has cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva on August 7 in the temple.
