SRI RAMA TEMPLES IN THE DISTRICT TO DONATE VASTRAM TO LORD KODANDA RAMA

Tirupati, 1 April 2014: Over the clarion call given by TTD Tirupati Joint EO Sri P Bhaskar to link-up the temples dedicated to Lord Sri Rama with the Lord Sri Venkata Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Tirupati, a huge response came from the villages housing Lord Sri Rama Temples in Chittoor District.

Around 50 teams are coming to Tirupati to take part in the nine-day religious event of annual brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Rama in Tirupati on Wednesday. As a part of this, they will be offering silk vastrams to the presiding deity and utsava murthies. All the teams will assemble at Sri Ramachandra Gunta Pushkarini. There will be a “Shobha Yatra” from here to Lord Sri Venkata kodanda Rama Swamy temple through the streets of Mahati Kalakshetram, Gandhi Road, Bazaar street. The teams will be received by the temple staffs at Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple with temple honours and Pustaka Prasadam will be given to them by HDPP wing of TTD which will be distributed by the representatives of respective villages in their areas on the auspicious Sri Rama Navami day on April 8.
