SRIVARI TEMPLE TO OFFER “SARE” TO PAT ON DEC 4

Tirumala, 3 December,2016: As part of age old tradition, sare will be offered on behalf of Srivari Temple, Tirumala to Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanoor tomorrow Dec 4 on the occasion of Panchami theertham.

The event occurring on the final day of the ongoing Kartheeka Masa Brahmotsavam of PAT will be highlight of the nine day celestial event in the temple town.

As part of the event the component of the sari offering comprising of turmeric, kumkum, prasadams, tulasi, jewellery and silk sari will commence its journey from Srivari temple at 4 AM in the morning. Firstly the offering will be taken out in a procession by elephants on the four mada streets and later brought down to Alipiri – Kanakamma Satralu. It will be taken out in a procession along Tirupati town to Tiruchanoor abode of Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple.

There after the offering component will be taken to pushkarini where it is presented to the PAT deity in full honors to the priests and officials of PAT. The last snapana thirumanjanam is performed to the utsava deities at 11.00 AM before the commencing of the Chakrasnanam which signalled the valedictory of the Brahmotsavams.
