“STUDENT-TEACHER RELATIONSHIP IS BASE FOR GOOD SOCIETY”-TIRUPATI JEO

Tirupati, 5 September 2014: The cordial and positive relationship between teachers and students is essential in order to build up a good society, said TTDs Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.

Taking part in the Teacher’s Day Celebrations in TTD-run Sri Venkateswara High School in Tirupati on Friday, the JEO said India is a country known for a strong bond of Teacher-Student relationship which is otherwise called “Guru-Sishya Parampara” since ages. Our ancient scripts have given a top place to the “Teacher” comparing to “Trinity”. But today the same relationship is at stake and there is need to revive the “Teacher-Student” relationship to build up an incredible society. The country will thrive only when there is a cordial environment only when the parents, teachers, students and educational institutions play a responsible role in their respective capacities”, he added. The JEO further said that the four essential qualities which are important for the students to follow in order to become good students are courage, time management, knowledge and devotion towards his or teachers.

Earlier Devasthanams Educational Officer (DEO-Academic) Sri Vijaya Kumar remembered the achievements of Dr.Sarvepalle Radhakrishnan on the occasion. He said Sarvepalle was phenomenal personality. He was a scholar, statesman and educationist and was a best teacher before becoming the first vice-president and second president of this great country-India. As a mark of respect we have been celebrating his birth anniversary as “Teachers’ Day”, he maintained.

tribute to this is a tribute to the hard work and devotion of the teachers all year long, to educate a child. In India, teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th of September every year. Indian Teacher’s Day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a zealous advocate of education and one of the greatest scholars and teachers of all times, apart from being the first Vice President and the second President of India. As a mark of respect to this phenomenal teacher, his birthday came to be observed as Teacher’s Day in the country.

Later the JEO felicitated eight teachers of the schools who brought good results in the Tenth examinations during the last academic year.
