SWEET CORN GARLANDS AND ORANGE DECORS MUSE TIRUMANJANAM PLATFORM

Tirumala, 9 October 2016: On the final day in the series of Snapana Tirumanjanam performed to Lord Sri Malayppa Swamy, it’s been a visual treat to watch the tastefully decorated platform with oranges and orchids, while the garlands made of sweet corn, strawberries mused the devotees.

SNAPANAM PERFORMED

The deities were made to sit on the specially decorated plat form in Ranganayakula Mandapam and later given celestial bath with desi cow milk, coconut, honey, sandal paste, turmeric. During every interval while rendering Snapana Tirumanjanam with all these ingredients, the deities are decorated with varieties of garlands arranged by Garden department of TTD.

GARLANDS WITH SWEET CORN

The richness of sweetcorn is known to all till now for its fiber content as eatable while its beauty came to limelight when Lord Malayappa was gracefully decorated with the garlands made out of its kernels.

Similarly the garlands made of dry grapes, Kuruveru(forest kus kus), Starwberries, Vattiveu(kus kus), pearls, multi-colour rose petals and finally with Sacred Basil (Tulasi) leaves. The blue, white, red, saffron colour orchids added the extra zing to the decorations.

Sri Rajendran of Tirupur and Sri Gunasekharan of Chennai donated for garlands and decoration of platform for the Snapana Tirumanjanam event on Sunday.
