TAKE VEDAS TO NEW HEIGHTS-TIRUPATI JEO
TIRUPATI, DEC 20: With the changing life style of the people along with the technical advancement, there is a need to take the essence of Vedas to the nook and corner for the well being of the entire society, said Tiruapti JEO Sri P Bhaskar.
Addressing the inaugural session of three-day Yuvajanotsavam in TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati on Friday, the JEO said, India has shown the entire world the great morals embedded in Vedas that is required for carrying out one’s life in a smooth manner. Even the foreign countries are craving to trace the immense knowledge that is treasured in vedas. “Vedas have never lost their glory. Only the pupils are not coming up to take up Vedas as their main course of education”, he felt.
He complimented the organisers for conducting the youth festival which has brought the vedic students present across the country onto one platform to exhibit their talents and skills.
Later the students enthralled with their expertise in various programmes like Arohana-Avarohana, Salaka, Swadhyana Nishnatam while Tirupati based renowned artist Sri S Satyanarayana did Chitrasthavadhana.
Karnataka Sanskrit University Dean Sri Srinivas Varakhedi, RSVP Vice-Chancellor Sri Harekrishna Satapathy, Vedic Varsity Vice-chancellor Sri Vijayakumar, programme co-ordinator Sri Girajaprasad Shadangi and other faculty members, students from across the country were also present.
