25-DAY ADHYAYANOTSAVAMS CONCLUDES ON A GRAND NOTE

Tirumala, 21 January 2017: The Tanneramudu festival was observed in Tirumala with religious fervour on Saturday marking the ceremonious conclusion of the 25-day Adhyayanotavams.

On Saturday evening after the Sahasra Deepalankara Seva, the processional deities reached vahana mandapam along the four mada streets via Tirumala Nambi temple.

From Vahana Mandapam the deities were taken inside the sanctum while the decedents of Tirumala Nambi carried the holy Akasa Ganga waters in a procession along four mada streets and entered the hill temple. Inside the temple, the golden armour to the holy feet of Lord was removed and special abhishekam was rendered to the presiding diety with these holy waters.

Tirumala jeeyangars, archakas, Tatacharya descendants, temple staff also participated in this holy fete.

While on Sunday, the Lord Malayappa Swamy flanked by His Consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi will reach the Tirumala Nambi temple after Sahasra Deepalankara Seva as a token of the impeccable services rendered by the great Saint devotee Sri Tirumala Nambi who pioneered Pushpa kainkarayam in Tirumala temple.
