TEMPLE CITY ECHOES WITH THE CHANT OF “HARA HARA MAHA DEVA SAMBHO SHANKARA”
Tirupati, 17 February 2015: The temple city of TIrupati which usually reverberates to the chant of “Govinda Nama”, on Tuesday echoed with the divine chant of “HARA HARA MAHA DEVA SAMBHO SHANKARA” as a sea of humanity thronged to the famous Shiva Shrine under the umbrella of ancient temples of TTD, Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple on Tuesday to have darshan on the auspicious Mahasivarathri.
TTD has made elaborate arrangements of security deploying special team of vigilance sleuths for crowd management and also over 100 Srivari Seva Volunteers to maintain queue lines, distribute annaprasadam etc for the multitude of visiting pilgrims.
Meanwhile the temple activity in the day commences with Suprabhatam at 2.30am followed by Mahanyasapurvaka Ekadasa Rudrabhishekam, upto 4.30am and later the devotees are allowed for Sarva Darshanam from 5.30am to 11am.
Rathotsavam was performed between 7am to 9am on Tuesday. After Rathotsavam which is otherwise called Bhogitheru, Snapana Tirumanjanam performed to the utsavarulu. Again the devotees are allowed for darshan from 11.30am to 2pm. Later in the noon, special abhishekam, Alankaram, Sahasranamarchana, Deeparadhana were also performed.
The Devotees are allowed for Sarva Darshan from 5pm till 12 midnight. Meanwhile the Lord Shiva was taken on a celestial ride on Adhikara Nandi Vahanam-the most famous vehicle of the ten day brahmotsavams, between 6pm to 10pm.
On the zero hours of February 18, Lingodbhavakala Abhishekam will be performed from till 1am , followed by second, third and fourth abhishekams which is followed by Alankaram, Archana, Naivedyam, Deeparadhana and Ekantaseva.
