TEMPLE DOORS CLOSED AT 9:30am AND REOPENS AFTER 8pm

Tirumala, 4 April 2015: With the advent of lunar eclipse on Saturday, the doors of Tirumala shrine are closed six hours prior to Grahanam as per traditional practice at 9:30am on Saturday.

The temple will remain close till 8pm and will be reopened after performing suddhi, punyahavachanam and other purification rituals. Meanwhile the Grahanam was observed between 3:45pm to 8pm. However the temple doors are closed six hours prior to thE lunar eclipse as per age old tradition. Ttd has also cancelled all rajithagiri sevas, RS.300, Rs.50, Divyadarshan tickets(from 6pm of April3 to 6pm of April4). All darshans will resume after 8pm on Saturday.

TTD EO Dr Sambasiva Rao, Temple DyEO Sri Chinnamgari Ramana, ACVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, Temple Peishkar Sri R Selvam and others were present.
