TEMPLE DOORS OF SRI TT OPENED AFTER 14 HOURS

Tirumala, 9 March 2016: Following the Solar Eclipse on March 9, Wednesday, the temple doors of the famous hill shrine of Tirumala temple which were closed on the evening of March 8, re opened as per the norms of Agama shastra.

On Tuesday evening, the temple doors of Tirumala were closed on Tuesday by 8:30pm after performing ekantha seva. It was a usual tradition in Tirumala to close the temple doors six hours prior to eclipse.

After having closed the temple for almost 14 hours, the temple doors have been reopened on Wednesday morning at 10am after performing Suddhi.
