TEMPLE TOWN REVERBERATES TO THE MELODY TUNES OF ANNAMAIAH KEERTANS SUNG BY CHILD PRODGIES

TIRUCHANOOR, NOV 23: The denizens of Tirupati and Tiruchanoor and multitude of pilgrims who had a visual retreat all these days with the colourful processions of Goddess Padmavthi Devi, had a double dhamaka on Sunday as they also got an opportunity to listen to the melodious voices of child prodigies who sung Annamaiah keertans with great aplomb and veneration.

The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) organised a special programme under the title “Sri Annamaiah Bala Ganamritam” with eight budding talents who had already proved their expertise on various singing platforms under the guidance of Sri Saluri Vasu Rao.

The musical concert which lasted for over an hour with nearly nine melodious songs penned by saint poet Tallapaka Annamacharya began with “Telisina Brahmopadesamide in Saraswathi ragam that emerged out of the voice of Chi. Sahiti, followed by “Kaliginadi okkate Kamalapathi” in Shanmukhapriya ragam rendered by Chi. Lakshmipragna , then followed melodious numbers including “Alara nutincharo Hari”, “Kodekadu Kadavamma”, “Anchita Pranulakaite”, “Adiye Vishnupadamu”, “Devadevottamuni”, “Tandanana Ahi” and “Antayuneeve Hari Pundarikaksha” sung by Chi. Lalitha, Chi. Spandana, Chi.Bhuvanakriti, Chi.Sahiti Ramachary, Chi Abhirama, Chi.Vasundhara respectively.

The devotees who were present not only in the Asthana Mandapam at Tiruchanoor but hundreds of denizens who were witnessing the live telecast of rituals and devotional programme on Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel enthralled by the melodious performance by these child and upcoming artistes.

TTD EO Sri MG Gopal along with Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar complimented the stupendous performance of these young talents and wished them a bright future ahead with the divine blessings of Goddess Padmavathi Devi.

Later, two CDs, Annamiaha Bala Ganamritam-3 and 4 were released on this occasion. The part 1 and 2 were released during the annual brahmotsavams of Srivaru at Tirumala this year. Sp.Gr.Deputy EO and FAC for SV Recording Project Sri Munirathnam Reddy was also present.
