THIRTY THOUSAND STUDENTS TO BE TRAINED UNDER SUBHAPRADHAM

Tirupati, 10 May 2015: The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) has all set to train 30 thousand students of 9th and 10th standards across the states of AP and TS from May 13 to May 19 inculcate moral values among them with a noble aim to make them nation’s best citizens, said Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.

Addressing media persons in SPRH in Tirupati on Sunday, the JEO said in its first year in 2012 about 3201 students, nearly 5000 in 2013, about 19,876 students were given training through this programme. This year about 62.738 students have enrolled for training as against the target of 30thousands including the 8th class students. So the management has decided to conduct training only for 9th and 10th classes which includes 15,580 boys and 13,473 girls in 29 centres in both the Telugu speaking states. For this programme nearly 2654 resource persons who are trained earlier exclusively for this purpose, have been deployed in these two states. The JEO said approximately Rs.5cr is being spent on this programme.

TTD has also printed books like Subhapradham, Srinivasa Bala Bharathi, Vedamula Saram, Krishna Satakam, Bhaskara Satakam etc which will be distributed to the students, he said.

Meanwhile in Chittoor district, the programme will be conducted in six colleges including SV Arts College, SGS Arts College, SV Jr College for Boys while SV Oreintal College, SPW Degree and PG college, SPW Jr College for girls.
