Tirumala, September 24: Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju along with CVSO Sri GVG Ashok Kumar inspected the ongoing gold plating works of new Swarna Ratham in SV Museum at Tirumala on Tuesday.

Addressing media persons, he said, the works are in a final stage and will be completed by 27^th of this month. “This mighty 32-feet tall ratham will be the unique one of its kind in the country. About 74kilos of gold, 2900 kilos of copper has been used to design this chariot which weighs about 28000kilos. TTD has spent over 24crores to prepare the new golden chariot. 18 gauge copper sheet, 9 layers of gold has been utilized to prepare this prestigious ratham”, he added.

Later he said the trial-run procession of the chariot will be on September 30 at 9.05am. “On that day the chariot will be taken on a procession along four mada streets and kept inside the newly constructed Swarnaratha mandapam behind Vahana Mandapam”, he said.

The JEO complimented CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, SE Sri Sudhkar Reddy, EE Sri Parandhamam and the team of goldsmith from Tamilnadu for their efforts in bringing out the new ratham in a beautiful shape.

Later the JEO also inspected the ongoing works of Tiruvenkatapatham-phase II works (outer ring road). The foundation stone for the second phase works will be laid by the hon’ble CM Sri N Kirankumar Reddy on October 5.

Additional CVSO Sri Shivakumar Reddy, SE II Ramesh Reddy, Deputy EO Temple Sri C Ramana and others were also present.

తిరుమల, సెప్టెంబరు 24, 2013: అక్టోబరు 5 నుండి 13వ తేదీ వరకు జరుగనున్న తిరుమల శ్రీవారి సాలకట్ల బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల్లో వినియోగించనున్న నూతన స్వర్ణరథం తయారీ పనులను మంగళవారం తిరుమలలోని ఎస్వీ మ్యూజియంలో జెఈవో శ్రీ కె.ఎస్‌.శ్రీనివాసరాజు, సివిఎస్‌ఓ శ్రీ జివిజి.అశోక్‌కుమార్‌తో కలిసి తనిఖీ చేశారు.

అనంతరం జెఈవో మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ స్వర్ణరథం పనులు మూడు రోజుల్లో పూర్తి కానున్నాయన్నారు. ఈ నెల 27వ తారీఖున స్వర్ణరథం పనులు పూర్తిస్థాయిలో ముగుస్తాయని తెలిపారు. 32 అడుగుల ఎత్తు గల ఇలాంటి స్వర్ణరథం దేశంలో మరెక్కడా ఉండదనడంలో అతిశయోక్తి లేదన్నారు. మొత్తం 28 వేల కిలోల బరువు గల ఈ స్వర్ణరథం తయారీకి 74 కిలోల బంగారాన్ని, 2,900 కిలోల రాగిని, 25 వేల కిలోల దారుచెక్క, ఇనుమును వినియోగించినట్టు వెల్లడించారు. 18 ఇంచుల గేజ్‌ రాగిని, 9 లేయర్లలో బంగారు పూత పూసినట్టు జెఈవో తెలిపారు. ఈ స్వర్ణరథం ధర రూ.24.34 కోట్లుగా వెల్లడించారు.

ఈ నెల 30వ తేదీ ఉదయం 9.05 గంటల ముహూర్తంలో స్వర్ణరథాన్ని వాహనమండపం వెనుక నూతనంగా నిర్మించిన స్వర్ణరథ మండపానికి తిరుమాడ వీధుల గుండా తరలించనున్నట్టు వివరించారు. శ్రీవారి బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల్లో ఆరో రోజు అనగా అక్టోబరు 10వ తేదీ సాయంత్రం 5.00 గంటలకు స్వర్ణరథోత్సవం ఉన్న నేపథ్యంలో ఆ కార్యక్రమానికి రెండు, మూడు గంటల ముందే స్వర్ణరథానికి శాస్త్రోక్తంగా పూజలు నిర్వహిస్తామన్నారు. నూతన స్వర్ణరథం శోభాయాత్రను భక్తులు తిలకించి పులకిస్తారని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
అనంతరం నూతన హంగులతో స్వర్ణరథం తయారీకి కృషి చేసిన తితిదే చీఫ్‌ ఇంజినీర్‌ శ్రీ చంథ్రేఖర్‌రెడ్డి, ఎస్‌ఈ శ్రీ సుధాకరరావు, ఈఈ శ్రీ పరంధామయ్య, ఇతర ఇంజినీరింగ్‌ సిబ్బందిని, తమిళనాడుకు చెందిన స్వర్ణకారులను జెఈవో ప్రశంసించారు.

ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో శ్రీవారి ఆలయ డెప్యూటీ ఈవో శ్రీ చిన్నంగారి రమణ, అదనపు సివిఎస్‌ఓ శ్రీ శివకుమార్‌రెడ్డి, ఎస్‌ఈ-2 శ్రీ రమేష్‌రెడ్డి ఇతర అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

అనంతరం బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల మొదటి రోజైన అక్టోబరు 5వ తేదీన రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి చేతులమీదుగా తిరుమలలోని తిరువేంకటపథం(ఔటర్‌ రింగ్‌ రోడ్డు) రెండో విడత పనులకు శంకుస్థాపన జరుగనున్న నేపథ్యంలో జెఈవో ఆ పనులను పరిశీలించారు.
