TIRUMALA SHRINE GLITTERS IN THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

KARTHIKA PARVA DEEPOTSAVAM OBSERVED

Tirumala, 13 December 2016: The annual festival of Karthika Parva Deepotsavam was observed with celestial grandeur in Tirumala temple of Lord Venkateswara on pleasant day evening on Tuesday.

The beauty of Tirumala shrine enhanced in the Festival of Lights. About 600 mukullu, type of mud lamps filled with desi ghee lit with lights have been placed all along the temple premises which have given a divine glow to the hill temple. The ghee lamps were also lit in specially made Arakam Chatlu which were also placed in sub temples also.

The devotees were thrilled to catch the glimpse of Lord in the glow of these natural lights.

TTD has cancelled Vasanthotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara sevas and Pournami Garuda Seva on this occasion on Tuesday.
