COMMON PILGRIMS TOP PRIORITY DURING VAIKUNTHA EKADASI AND DWADASI-TTD EO
DEVOTIONAL PROGRAMMES TO MUSE PILGRIMS IN LINES
Tirumala, 13 December 2016: With less than a month left for the important days of New Year, Vaikuntha Ekadasi on January 8 and Vaikuntha Dwadasi on January 9, which are considered to be key days with heavy pilgrim influx, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao asserted that common pilgrims will be given top priority for darshan during these days.
The weekly review meeting on various developmental aspects took place at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday with various heads of departments by EO along with Tirumala Jeo Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju. After the review meeting addressing media persons, the EO said, keeping in view the past experiences, TTD is planning to provide much better darshan to the common pilgrims during the ensuing New Year and twin occasion Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Dwadasi.
“We are also contemplating to arrange devotional programmes to entertain the pilgrims who are waiting for their turn for darshan in queue lines”, he added.
Earlier the EO also reviewed on SVBC Tamil channel which is in offing. The EO also instructed the engineering officials to complete the pending works well before as series of important events are lined up next month in new year. He also instructed to use recycled water for the development of greenery along sides of both foot path routes.
Additional FACAO Sri Balaji, SE 2 Sri Ramachandra Reddy, VGOs Sri Ravindra Reddy, Smt Vimalakumari Smt Sada Lakshmi and other officers were also present.
