TOP PRIORITY FOR CLEANLINESS IN TIRUMALA – SPECIFIED AUTHORITY CHAIRMAN

TIRUMALA, NOV 24: Top priority should be cleanlines in Tirumala as “Cleanliness is considered next to Godliness” said TTD Specified Authority Chairman Sri JC Sharma.

Reviewing on the “Swatch Tirumala” programme at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Monday with Health Department, the SA Chairman said, It is a unique programme taken in the interests keeping Tirumala and its surroundings clean and hygienic as it is visited by millions and millions of pilgrims all through the year.

“Starting from Archaka to a scavenger every one should give top most priority to keep Tirumala and its environs clean and tidy. Every household, office, shop, mutt, hotel in Tirumala should follow the two-bin system to dump bio-degradable and recycling materials separately so that it could be easily lifted to dumpyard.

He also said enough awareness need to be brought among the pilgrims, sanitary workers, students and locals on this activity in a widespread manner.

Later the SA chairman visited the Kakulakona dumping yard in Tirumala.

Health Officer Dr Venkatramana and other officials of Health Department of TTD were also present.
