DHARMA RADHA YATRA IN EAST GODAVARI FROM NOVEMBER 29 TO DECEMBER 29-TIRUPATI JEO

TIRUPATI, NOV 24: The novel programme undertaken by Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) wing of TTD, Dharma Radha Yatra will cover numerous villages and hamlets in East Godavari district from November 29 to December 29 for a period of one month said Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.

Reviewing with various HODs of TTD at SPGH in Tirupati on Monday noon, the JEO said, the ratham will flag off at Tirupati on December 26 and reach Gokavaram of East Godavari on November 29 and cover many villages among which the prominet one includes tuni on Dec 7, Pithapuram on Dec 9, Ravulapalem Dec 17, Rajanagaram on Dec 26.

The JEO also said the motto behind this ratha yatra is to enhance the spirit of Hindu Sanatana Dharma among the masses in remote areas.

“Apart from this yatra, Srinivasa Kalyanams will also be performed during this period in Rampachodavaram on Dec 3, Amalapuram on Dec 18 and at Rajamundra on December 29”, he maintained.

The Dharma ratham will go to each and every village and the vermilion packets(kumkum) of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi will be distributed to the local devotees.

He said the villagers will be motivated to participate in offering prayers to the deities brought in Dharma Ratham by the bhajan troupes belonging to respective areas which also perform bhajans before the procession of the Ratham.

Deputy EOs Sri Siva Reddy, Sri Venugopal, PRO Sri T Ravi, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu and other officers were also present.
