TRUST BOARD MEETING AT ANNAMAIAH BHAVAN, TIRUMALA

TTD APPROVES ANNUAL BUDGET
 
TIRUMALA, MARCH 2: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Saturday approved its annual budget for the year 2012-13, with an estimated revenue of Rs.2248 crores.
 
Divulging the details to media persons after the meeting, Chairman Sri K. Bapiraju announced the highlights of the budget after the board meeting which held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala. Some Excerpts:
 
>TTD expected to receive Rs. 859 crore from capital funds (as kanuka) from devotees, which would be the major earner, while Rs.300 Special Entry Darshan was expected to fetch a minimum of Rs. 181 crore for a financial year.
> TTD is expecting to garner Rs.90cr on accommodation and Rs.46crores through Arjitha Seva tickets.
>Similarly, the payment of wages and salaries was expected to be the major outgo, to the tune of Rs. 335 crore.
>For this financial year, an estimated Rs. 200cr towards the sale of human hair, Rs.190cr has been allotted on Engineering works, Rs.95cr for HDPP, Rs.81cr on educational institutions, Rs.46cr on TTD-run hospitals.
