TS CM OFFERS PRAYERS IN TIRUMALA TEMPLE

DONATES TWO PRECIOUS JEWELS

Tirumala, 22 February 2017: The first Chief Minister of Telengana State, Sri K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday offered prayers in the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala along with his family and entourage.

WARM RECEPTION AT MAHADWARAM:

Following the temple tradition, the honourable CM of TS, first offered prayers in Sri Bhuvaraha Swamy temple and Swamy Pushkarini and later reached Tirumala temple. At Mahadwaram, he was offered warm reception by TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju. While the AP Minister Sri B Gopala Krishna Reddy also accompanied the TS CM and TTD Trust Board members Sri Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, Sri G Bhanuprakash Reddy and Dr P Hariprasad were also present.

DONATION OF JEWELS:

Later the TS CM reached Ranganayakula Mandapam where the jewels to be donated to Lord Venkateswara on behalf of Telengana Government were kept ready. These jewels were handed over to TTD as per the procedure. Later the Telengana CM offered prayers in front of Lord Venkateswara. The priests explained him the importance of presiding deity and also the jewels that were adorned to Lord.

OFFERING PRAYERS:

After darshan of Lord, the CM of Telengana along with his spouse Smt Shobha, daughter Smt Kavitha and other family members were offered Vedasirvachanam by the vedic pundits. Later the temple mandarins offered the honourable CM, the Teerthaprasadams, lamination photo of Lord.

PRAYED FOR THE PROSPERITY OF TWO TELUGU STATES

Speaking to media on this occasion outside the temple, the Telengana CM said, he has prayed for the well being and prosperity of the two telugu speaking states. Adding further he said that he has fulfilled his wish of donating the jewels to Lord on behalf of the Telengana Government. “TTD has made very good arrangements of Darshan”, he said.

Meanwhile two jewels have been donated to Lord Venkateswara by Telengana Government which includes Saligrama Haram weighing about 14.148 kilos and Five stepped Kante Haram (Petala Kante Haram) weighing about 4.924kilos taking the total weight to 19.072kilos and costing around Rs.5crores.
