TTD APPROVES RS.2858 CRORES ANNUAL BUDGET FOR 2017-18

Tirumala, 14 February: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Tuesday approved its annual budget for the year 2017-18 with an estimated budget of Rs.2858.48crores.

Some Highlights of the annual budget of TTD:

➢ TTD expected to receive Rs. 1110crores from capital funds (as kanuka) from devotees, which would be the major earner, while Rs.300 Special Entry Darshan was expected to fetch a minimum of Rs. 256crores for the financial year.

➢ TTD is expecting to garner Rs.807cr as interest on investments, Rs.124cr on accommodation and Rs.55cr through Arjitha Seva tickets.

➢ Similarly, the payment of wages and salaries was expected to be the major outgo, to the tune of Rs. 575crores.

➢ For this financial year, an estimated Rs. 100cr is estimated to be earned towards the sale of human hair

➢ An amount of Rs.200cr towards engineering works, Rs.125cr for HDPP, Rs.112.75cr on Education, Rs.125.50cr towards health and Sanitation and FMS, Rs.89cr on Vigilance and security, Rs.74.50cr on hospitals, Rs.185cr on pension outlay and Rs.75cr to strengthen corpus of the pension fund.
