TTD TRUST BOARD MEETING
Tirumala, Nov 11: The TTD board under the chairmanship of Sri K Bapiraju has taken some important resolutions in Annamaiah Bhavan on Monday. Some excerpts:
The board has given nod to issue one more laddu on free of cost in addition to two subsidy laddus to the pilgrims who are coming on footpath routes from the auspicious day of Vaikuntha Ekadasi (January 11, 2014). This will add an additional burden of Rs.12cr to TTD apart from the existing Rs.72cr on laddus alone.
A high level committee comprising senior IPS officers, Tirumala JEO, TTD CE with CVSO of TTD as convenor has been constituted following the final order of High Court over 1000-pillar mandapam to study the security situation. This committee will submit a report in three months time.
The board has remembered the efforts of former TTD Board Chief late sri DK Audikeshavulu Naidu in getting 450acres of land at Palamaner to TTD fold to develop diary farm.
The board has also agreed to implement Annaprasadam facility in Madhavam, Srinivasam and Vishnu nivasam Rest houses in Tirupati also on the lines of Tirumala.
The board has complimented the strong workforce of TTD for their efforts in making elaborate arrangements for annual brahmotsavams scheduled for 5-13 October inspite of the unfavourable conditions that prevailed in the state. TTD board has agreed to pay a brahmotsavam bahumanam of Rs.10thousands to its regular employees and Rs.5000 to its contract staffs.
In the security front, the chairman said, donors are coming forward to contribute for the installation of CC cameras in the Srivari temple as proposed earlier at a cost of Rs.69cr.
The board also complimented the standing committee of home affairs led by Sri M Venkaiah Naidu for taking initiation non-flying zone.
TTD has asked the Pondicherry government to provide two acres of land to construct a new temple of Lord Venkateswara upon their request.
The board has given nod for the work order of Rs.46cr multi-storied Pilgrims Amenities Complex at Tiruchanoor, rennovation of Sri Srinivasa temple at Tiruchanoor at a cost of Rs.3.75cr.
Sanskrit scholar Sri NV Mohana Rangacharyulu has been appointed as the Vaikhanasa Agama Advisor to TTD.
