TTD GEARS UP FOR MANAGUDI FETE

Tirupati, 10 August 2017: The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) is gearing up for the prestigious mass temple program, Managudi set to be observed in two Telugu speaking states from August 12-14 on the celestial occasion of Gokulastami.

The Managudi will take place in the temples of 1250 mandals located in two Telugu states. The TTD has already dispatched Managudi sacred materials to the respective temples.

As a part of Managudi, Alaya Sobha will be observed on August 12 and Nagara Sankeertana on august 13 while Gopuja and Utlotsavam will be observed in all the temples located in 294 cities of two Telugu states on August 14. Along with TTD, the Srivari Seva Volunteers, Bhajana Mandalis, Dharma Prachara Mandali members of the respective areas also participate in this mass religious program.

Meanwhile, TTD commenced this prestigious program in the year 2012. Till 2015, this fete was observed twice in a year on the auspicious Sravana Pournami and Karthika Pournami. But from 2016, during every important Hindu festival, Managudi is being observed in the selected temples of two Telugu states in a big way under the aegis of Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad wing of TTD.
