TTD GETS THE KUDOS FOR ITS PRO-VEDIC INITIATIVES

Tirupati, 2 January 2016: The temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) is the one dharmic organisation which is to be complimented for its unstinted efforts in propagating, promoting and preserving Vedic knowledge by taking up various activities, said, Prof.Parameshwara Narayana Shastry, the VC of Rastriya Samskrita Sansthan, New Delhi.

Addressing the valedictory session of 54th Akhila Bharatha Shastriya Spartha programme in Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on Saturday he said, the great and pious land of Bharat is rightly called Punya Bhumi, Karma Bhumi, Dharma Bhumi and Vedas are the identity of its rich culture, tradition and heritage. “Every one should feel proud for having born on this sacred land. There is an urgent need to propagate the rich knowledge treasure embedded in our sacred texts-Vedas to the world today in order to guide the humanity to walk in the right path”, he strongly felt.

Later Sri Venkateswara Vedic University (SVVU) VC Sri KE Devanathan said, the Rastriya Samskrita Samsthan has been thriving hard through its series of programmes in the promotion of the divine sanskrit and vedas from the past several decades. “Even during this spartha competitions about 420 students hailing from 21 states in the country took part and showcased their expertise in Mimamsa, Vyakarana, Nyaya, Jyothisha, Vedanta and many other areas”, he maintained.

In her address Smt Sheela Balaji from Chennai said, in our Hindu Sanatana Dharma, “Guru” occupies the most coveted place. “Every one should respect their Gurus who identifies and ignites our knowledge and make us to become the good citizens to serve our mother land”, she said.

Later prizes were given away to the students who excelled in various areas in the competition.

Earlier the 100th publication from SVVU, “Vaidika Jyothishyam” was released along with Tiruppavai, Dasavidhahetu Nirupanam books.

Registrar of SVVU Sri GSR Krishnamurthy, Deans, Sri Srinivasacharyulu, Sri Tarakarama Sharma, Sri Subrahmanya Sharma, Co-ordinators Dr Umesh Bhatt, Dr Venkateshmurthy, PRO Sri Brahmacharyulu, students were also present.
