TTD SETS NEWS RECORD IN SEEGHRA DARSHAN AND IN HUNDI COLLECTIONS-TTD EO

DIVYA DARSHAN AND SARVA DARSHAN COMPLEXES SOON

Tirumala, 5 August 2016: Adding yet another feather in its cap, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) has made a record revenue through Seeghra Darshan and Srivari Hundi collections in the month of July in the history of TTD, said TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Before receiving calls from the pilgrim callers during the monthly “Dial Your EO” programme held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the briefed on the achievements made by TTD in the last one month which included the above two historical achievements. Elaborating further the EO said, in Rs.300 Pratyeka Pravesha Darshan which is also known as Seeghra Darshan in the month of July 6.27lakh pilgrims had opted for this darshan. “The pilgrims booked this darshan tickets in internet, e-darshan counters, post offices etc. and completed the darshan in their specific time slot without any inconvenience”, he observed.

The EO also said, TTD hundial has netted Rs.97.09crores during last month which is yet another record of its sorts.

DIVYA DARSHAN AND SARVA DARSHAN COMPLEXES SOON

The TTD EO also informed the pilgrims that on the lines of Seeghra Darshan complex, the temple management will come out with Divya Darshan compelx meant for pedestrian pilgrims before annual Brahmotsavams and Sarvadarshan complex in the next phase.

TRIBUTE TO SAINT RAMANUJACHARYA

Callers Sri Uday Bhaskar and Nani from Bheemavaram sought TTD EO to take up wide publicity on the Sri Vaishnava Saint Sri Ramanujacharya who brought revolutionary reforms in temple rituals of Tirumala and also install a statue in Tirupati as a befitting tribute. Replying them the EO said, TTD has already been doing various spiritual activities on the millennium birth anniversary of the great saint. “We have taken up Ramanuja Ratha Yatra covering all vaishnava divya desams across the country. Apart from this the literary and other spiritual programmes related to the saint vaishnvacharya are being telecasted in our SVBC. “We already have a “Ramanuja Circle” in the heart of the city with statue of Sri Ramanujacharya”, he answered.

CLEAR PILED UP FOREIGN CURRENCIES

Pilgrim caller Sri Lakshmi Narasaiah from Vanasthalipuram who performed Parakamani Seva in TTD earlier, informed TTD EO about the piled up foreign currency coins in Parakamani and requested to clear them as it may generate huge revenue to TTD. Answering him the EO said, TTD has already approached a reputed Management Institute and consulted them on how to sort out the problem. “Very soon this issued will be sorted out”, he added.

PROVIDE NEAR BY DARSHAN TO 75 PLUS

A pilgrim caller from East Godavari Sri Subhash Chandra Bose urged EO to provide darshan to the aged who are over 75 years of age, a nearby darshan instead of Laghu or Maha Laghu at least once in their life time, for which the EO said they will look into the feasibility.

STREAMLINE TICKETS IN SRI KT

A caller from Tirupati Sri Amar brought to the notice of EO that the Masa Siva Rathri tickets in the famous temple of Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati are not available to the pilgrim devotees in a proper manner and also informed the EO that the services of volunteers should be utilized in a proper way in the local temples. Reacting to this, the EO said the system of issuing tickets will be streamlined immediately in the temple. “The Srivari seva volunteers should behave in a dignified manner with the devotees and should maintain soft spoken skills. I again invite all the educated people to enroll and serve as volunteers to the pilgrims”, he added.

REPLICA TEMPLE FOR MYSORE

Sri Muhurt, a caller from Mysore sought TTD EO to set up a replica temple of lord venkateswara in Mysore also, for which the EO replied that if the local devotees or local administration come up with allotment of land TTD will construct a temple on the lines of Kanyakumari, Kurukshetra, Haryana etc. “But it is not possible for us to set up on our own in every place”, he maintained.

STREAMLINING OF LUCKY DIP SYSTEM

Another pilgrim caller from Tirupati said, there is need to streamline the lucky dip system in Tirumala, where in the tickets are allotted to pilgrims through dip system. Assuring the caller the EO said, “Very soon we will sort out the problems here”.

ID CARDS SHOULD BE PROMINENTLY VISIBLE

A pilgrim suggested the EO to ensure that all the employees of TTD should wear the ID cards that should be prominently visible for which the EO replied it will be taken care of.

HOTELS SHOULD DISPLAY RATE BOARDS

Another caller complained of abnormal rates being charged by some hotels in Tirumala and sought him to initiate compulsory display of rate boards for the sake of the pilgrims. The EO assured him of the measure and also urged the pilgrims to have annaprasadam in Vengamamba complex run by TTD. “Every day we are serving free food from 9am to 11pm. In the morning first two hours breakfast will be served. In hall no.4 we have made it as a buffet section. So the pilgrims can have their tasty delicacies without any trouble”, he added.

PROVIDE SEVA TICKETS IN CHENNAI CENTRE

A caller from Chennai Sri Murali urged the TTD EO that only darshan tickets are available in T.Nagar information centre of TTD and some seva tickets may also introduced. Replying the caller the EO said, it is not possible as the tickets are very limited. “However from the past few months we have been releasing bulk tickets in on-line for the benefit of the pilgrims. You can book those tickets”, he added.

TTD RELEASES 40K ODD TICKETS FOR OCTOBER

TTD has released 40,087 tickets for the month of October. Elaborating on the online quota tickets the TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao informed the pilgrims as the ensuing annual brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Venakteswara at Tirumala is scheduled from October 3-11, some of the arjitha seva tickets were cancelled. “So for the month of October the number of seva tickets are less than 50thousands”, he added.

STATE SET FOR KRISHNA PUSHKARAMS

The replica temple of Lord Venkateswara by TTD in the PWD grounds of Vijayawada will be opened on August 7 by performing Maha Samprokshanam between 7:30am and 9am, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Briefing the pilgrims before receiving calls from them during Dial Your EO programme, the EO said, the temple will be open for darshan from 4am to 10pm every day and all the sevas will be performed in Ekantam. “Food as Annaprasadam will be served to over one lakh every day. There will be pushkara harati every day evening in Padmavathi Ghat followed by unjal seva”, he added.

The EO said, apart from 650 employees deputed for the Krishna Pushkarams duty, over 1000 volunteers and scouts will also be offering their services to pilgrims.
