TTD TO COMMENCE ON-LINE SUBSCRIPTION OF SAPTHAGIRI SOON

TIRUMALA, MAY 1: For the convenience of the pilgrims across the globe TTD will soon start on-line subscription facility of Sapthagiri magazine, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Addressing the “Dial your EO” programme at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the EO reacting to a query of a pilgrim caller Sri Prem Kumar from Nellore, said that TTD will soon enable the facility onits official website. The EO also said, Ttd has already kept the magazine under e-Publications for the convenience of the netizens.

Answering the query of a pilgrim caller Smt.Asha Kansal from Kolkata who sought the EO to telecast the spiritual programmes in Hindi also, the TTD EO said, the management will look into the suggestion and will try to telecast at least some programmes in Hindi.

Pilgrim callers Smt Krishna Kumari from Hyderabad, Smt N.Vasundhara from Tirupati and Sri Subramanyam from Chennai sought the Executive Officer to see the possibility of allowing the aged and physically handicapped pilgrims near to the temple. Reacting on this the EO said, due to security reasons even the Sahasra Deepalankara seva Mandapam is also shifted farther from the temple. “Anyway we will see the possibilities”, he maintained.

Earlier, before taking the calls from the pilgrims, the EO briefed on the various developmental activities taken up TTD in the last one month for the sake of the multitude of visiting pilgrims. “As the summer vacation rush commenced in Tirumala we have set up coolant pandals, paints and other measures to protect the pilgrims from scorching temperatures. We have also brought transparent methods in darshan, accommodation, and laddu Prasadam booking system for the sake of the pilgrims”, he said

Later talking to media persons the EO said the water in various dams in Tirumala at present is sufficient and will cater the needs of pilgrims for the next 150 days. So there will not be any scarcity in summer.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, CV&SO Sri Nagendra Kumar, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy and other HoDs were also present.
