TTD TO CONSULT RBI AND BANKS ON DISPOSAL OF FOREIGN COINS AND NOTES

EO inspects Parakamani and directs officials to make it dust free
• Parakamani to have anew complex soon
• To consult RBI,banks on disposal of foreign coins, forieng notes, cut notes etc

Tirumala,4 July 2016: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao today said that TTD proposed to hold discussions with RBI and other nationalised banks on the issue of disposal of foreign coins, cut notes, old coins and notes out of circulation which were collected in the temple Hundis and were stocked at the Parakamani for long.

After inspecting the Coins Parakamani in TTD Administrative Building the EO said the TTD had plans to set up a new complex for the Parakamani- where the hundi collection of Srivari Temple etc- is counted every day. He said TTD staff and Srivari sevaks were rendering yeomen service in the counting process of Temple collections which were growing by leaps and bounds every day.

He directed the officials at the parakamani to make it dust free and also have new ambience and working environment. He said it was a good practice to involve random devotees also in the process of counting a of Hundi collections.
