A cold storage at Tirumala for perishable items in one month

• Engineering dept to complete repairs at Madhavam, Srinivasam and Vishnu Nivasam.

• Speed up civil works and tree planting at Vontimetta K R

Tirupati, 4 July 2016: TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao has directed officials of the marketing department to maintain a minimum 15 days stock of essential commodities like rice, dal, cashew nuts etc to facilitate hassle free service to pilgrims.

Addressing his weekly review meeting in the TTD Admin building at Tirupati this morning the EO also directed officials to also build a cold storage within a month for preserving perishable goods and also to take steps to provide copper and silver dollars mementos of Lord Venkateswara to devotees at earliest.

The EO also instructed the officials to speed up the civil works and tree plantation works at the Vontimitta Sri Kodandarama temple and also to complete the repairs to TTD Kalyana mantapams in all districts of the state. He also reviewed the status of distribution of panchaloha and stone idols to temples and asked officials to ensure that there was no delay in the distribution of idols to all those who had applied for it.

The EO also wanted the CEO of SVBC Sri A V Narasimha Rao that said the Nada Nirajanam program should be made more attractive with performances of top artistes and urged him to invite all the Padma awardee artistes from all over the country to perform at the open cultural platform in front of Srivari Temple.

He also directed the engineering officials to take up timely repairs of geasers, electrical stabiliers and exhaust fans at the Srinivasam, Madhavam and Vishnu Nivasam complex in Tirupati. He also advised the CAO Sri Raviprasadu to ensure that pensions and other financial settlements of the retiring TTD staff should be speeded up.

Prominent officials who participated in the review meeting were Tirupati JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar, OSD All Projects Sri N Mukteswara Rao, Devasthanam Law Officer Sri Venkataramana, Chief Engineer Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, Addl FACAO Sri O Balaji and officers were present.
