TTD TO SYNCHRONIZE ADVANCE AND CURRENT BOOKINGS IN 6 MONTHS, IT CHIEF SESHA REDDY

Tirumala, 21 October 2015: TTD has plans to introduce Nextgen applications of Information Technology to further improve its e-darshan, e-accomodation and e-hundi services in temple administration and also pilgrim services in next 6 months , says. Sri P V Shesha Reddy, head of TTD IT services.

Speaking to newsmen at the Media center he said the Next gen applications will provide single platform for both advance and current booking options to devotees and thus create an near accurate environment in temple administration. We also have effective firewalls and also enhanced our servers to face the challenges of large number of hits at same time from devotees ‘ he says.

He said TTD was in talks with TCS service provider to bring both accommodation and darshan on a single platform and make e-services of TTD a’ ease of operation for both the devotees and also administration . ‘ We have successfully implemented our e-agenda with goal to provide easy services to pilgrims and also ‘ look and feel ‘ experience to employees .

The TTD has transformed the concept of ‘pilgrim friendly services through issue of online tickets for Rs.300 Pratyeka darshan and Rs.50, Sudarshan and also issue of laddus online. ‘this has cut down waiting time in queues by over 0 hours ‘ he says. The e-accommodation has also helped in increasing occupancy by over 15% with simple monitoring system and also enhanced the environment of laddu sales through computer linked monitoring of laddu counters.
