DEVELOPMENT OF TIRUPATI-TIRUMALA OUR PRIORITY-TTD BOARD CHIEF

TIRUMALA, JUNE 9: The development of both the pilgrim centres of Tirupati and Tirumala is our top priority apart from taking up pro-pilgrim measures said, TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.

Briefing the media persons over the decisions which were resolved in board meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan on Tuesday, the Board chief said since Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) is the world famous religious body which represents both Tirupati and Tirumala and hence the board has given nod towards the develop of the twin pilgrims centres on a war footing basis, he said. Some excerpts of the meeting resolutions:

➢ The board has resolved a fitment of 43 percent to the regular employees of TTD.
➢ TTD has adopted old temples at Upamaka village in Vizag and Sri venkateswara swamy temple in Anantavaram.

➢ Pushpayagam to be introduced in Nagulapuram temple. A new RATHAM has already been prepared for the annual Brahmotsavams

➢ Vakulamata Rest House to come up with 220 rooms at a cost of Rs.26cr which could accommodate over 1220 pilgrims

➢ Approval for 96 rooms at a cost of Rs 4.26cr has been sanctioned for SVIMS super specialty hospital. As there is a huge demand for dialysis some rooms will be dedicated exclusively for this purpose

➢ Srinivasa Kalyanams to be performed over the request of Telugu Association of North America (TANA) in US.

➢ A massive Goshala to be set up in the sprawling 450 acres of land at Palamaner. The services of Srivari Sevakulu to be utilised in SV Goshala

➢ TTD going for utilisation of non-conventional energies to become self reliant in power consumption. 10 mega watts solar power plant to come up at Tamballapalle while another 7.2 mega watts wind power unit to come up at Tirumala.

➢ About 1.5lakh saplings of red sanders will be planted in 400hectres of land in Tirumala while another 12 lakhs by next year.
