“TTD WEBSITE TO BECOME WORLD’S BEST BY JUNE 2016”- TTD EO
TIRUMALA, AUGUST 7: The official website of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) will be made one of the world’s best website by June 2016, asserted TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao.
While interacting with the pilgrims during monthly “Dial your EO” programme, the TTD EO received many questions, suggestions and compliments related to TTD Website and on-line services.
Answering the callers the EO said, TTD has brought many pilgrim-friendly changes in its website by making the on-line services more easier, introducing free down loading facility of its publications and Sapthagiri magazine, etc. “Our motto is to enhance our on-line services and see that they could reach wide range of pilgrims across the globe. We are even working out to make our official website to become world’s best by June 2016”, he reiterated.
Adding further the EO also said, the delays in on- line refunding in the case of darshan and accommodation has also been rectified. We have completed the refunding to the pilgrims who have not received their refund up to July 31. “However if the pilgrims still encounter the refund problem, they can mail to-
refundservices@tirumala.org”, he added.
During one hour period of the programme, EO attended to over 30 pilgrims including those from AP, TS, TN, West Bengal, Karnataka and Orissa.
TTD OPENED UP 25,577 ARJITHA SEVA TICKETS QUOTA FOR AUGUST 26-OCTOBER 2
Answering the pilgrim callers Sri Satyanarayana from Kolkata, Sri Srinivas from Narasaraopeta, Sri Kesavan from Chandragiri, Sri Seshaiah from Bangalore, Smt Kamakshi from Coimbattore, the EO said TTD has temporarily stalled some on-line services due to technical problem. However the pilgrims across the world can now book the arjitha seva tickets which are available from August 26 to October 2 from August 7 onwards as the online services have been enabled on the website from 11 am onwards.
Listing out the availability of tickets he said, 100 tickets for both Archana and Thomala, 4057 Suprabhatam, 60 Astadala Pada Padmaradhana, 1000 Viseshapuja, 1500 Nijapada Darshanam, 4320 Vasanthotsavam, 7800 Kalyanotsavam, 2340 Arjitha Brahmotsavam, 3000 Sahasra Deepalankara Seva and 1300 unjal Seva, a total of 25,577 tickets are available on net.
SEPARATE EXIT DURING G-DAY:
Suresh from Kakinada sought solution from management to see that the pilgrims during peak day like Garuda Seva be let out of galleries through an exit point to attend nature calls as they will be stranded in the galleries for long hours. Replying the caller the EO said, TtTd is mulling of alternative arrangements to see that the pilgrims are not put to inconvenience during that period.
TIRUNAMAM TO BE MADE MANDATORY:
Another caller Sri Venkateswara Reddy from Kadapa, suggested TTD to see that every devotee thronging Tirumala for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara should wear Tirunamam. Answering the caller, EO said, TTD has been bringing the changes in a phased manner. “Now we have made traditional dress code mandatory for all darshan categories except for free and footpath darshan”, he maintained.
BEGGARS MENACE:
Pilgrim callers Sri M Nageswara Rao and Sri Gopi complained about the beggars menace in local temple of TTD at Tirupati and Tiruchanoor. Replying the callers EO assured that the problem will be addressed by negotiating with concerned local government bodies along with TTD vigilance and Health wings.
JEOs Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Sri P Bhaskar, Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, All Projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao were also present.
