Tirupati,8 March 2016: The strong women work force of TTD should set an example to others by taking up challenging tasks and in discharging their duties with lean, said TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao.
Addressing the International Women’s Day held under the aegis of Welfare Department of TTD in the supervision of DyEOs Sri Krishna Reddy and in the able leadership of Dy EO General Smt Goutami in Mahati Auditorium at Tirupati on Tuesday.

The TTD EO who graced the occasion said, the women employees of TTD have been rendering impeccable services in the challenging areas of Kalyanakatta, temple management, health, vigilance, printing, Srivari Seva and many more and inspiring others. “This year, it is considered as the ‘Year of Parity’ and the slogan is to achieve 50-50 by 2030. I wish this should begin from our own institution. More women employees should come forward to take up challenging tasks and they are capable to execute them perfectly and achieve fruitful results”, he added.
Tirupati Legislator Smt Sugunamma said the International Women’s Day is the result of garment waist factory fire accident of Newyork which occurred in 1911 which burnt to ashes over 145 working class women. “This incident marked the beginning of the movement by women to fight for their rights and we are yet to achieve parity”, she added.

Later Smt Ranjana Kumar, former Vigilance Commissioner in Central Vigilance Commission, after her retirement as Chairperson of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is a prominent Indian Banker who served the banking sector with her extraordinary capability for 44 long years and won international acclaim said that the women should have a clear mind, positive energies to achieve their target.

Renowned Entrepreneur and TTD Trust board member Smt Suchitra Ella called upon the women employees to be consistent, be professional and create equal opportunities to every one.
AIDWA General Secretary Smt Rama Devi enlightened the women to arise, awake and stop not till their goal is achieved and fight for their rights.

Tirupati Jeo Sri P Bhaskar congratulated all the women employees on the occasion and asked them to come out with innovative ideas and remain as trendsetters to others in their respective fields as they are loaded with lots of energies.

EMINENT PERSONS FELICITATED

Among the eminent persons who were felicitated on this occasion included Smt Varalakshmi, founder of Akshaya Kshhetram NGO for deprived and mentally retorted children, Smt Bala Tripurasundari, Retired DyEO, TTD, Dr Usha Devi, Aswini Hospital retired medical superintendent, Smt Rama Tilakam, Retired Dy EE, Smt Munirathnamma, first women AEO of TTD who also supervised the making the most prestigious Vajra Kireetam in a successful manner in spite of she being a physically challenged employee, Smt Reddemma, Smt Vasantha-National Athletics champion, Smt Santhosha Kumari, National Hockey player.

Apart from them, Special GrDyEO Smt Chenchulakshmi, Dyeo Kalyanakatta Smt Baby Sarojini and 58 other women employees in different capacities who are going to retire this year were also felicitated.
