Tirumala, 7 April 2017: The “Dial Your EO” program on Friday at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala witnessed with majority of pilgrims pouring accolades on TTD for its pilgrim initiatives in the last two years and complimented TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and his team of strong TTD work force for providing hassle free facilities to pilgrims.

Among the 19 calls received from pilgrims from across different states about 16 pilgrims complimented the TTD initiatives recently implemented to provide hassle free darshan, accommodation and prasadam facilities.

In an interesting suggestion, a pilgrim caller Sri Suri Babu from Antervedi while complimenting the arrangements of TTD said, “I had a very good darshan on Ugadi. The Annaprasadam was also fine. But it would have been more fruitful, if I could have tasted Ugadi Pacchadi on telugu festival day. I request the TTD mandarins to look into the possibility of serving Ugadi pachhadi at least from next Ugadi onwards”. Replying the devotee, EO said, TTD will look into his suggestion and try to implement the same from next Ugadi onwards. “We also see the possibility of serving Parakamani and Vadapappu for next Sri Rama Navami”, EO added.

A pilgrim caller Sri Ravi Srinivas from Anantapur suggested TTD EO to design a spiritual training program on the lines of “Retreat” being organised in Kerala during summer vacation. “Evolve some module to train people like us in Sanatana dharma, Bhagavat Gita etc.for a period of a week or ten days to boost our morale”, he informed. Reacting to this EO said, it’s indeed an excellent idea. We have already running subhapradham summer training classes for students. We will think about your suggestion. We are also contemplating to make use of our 280 TTD kalyana Mandapams present across the state for such programs”, he maintained.

Another caller Sri Vishnuvardhan from Nellore sought EO to design a serial on Venkateswara Mahatyam and telecast it on SVBC. Welcoming the suggestion, the EO said apart from planning a serial, the SVBC is also instructed to create a program to guide pilgrims in Model temple. “The do’s and dont’s, guidelines etc.should be incorporated and a visual pilgrim tour guide should be prepared and aired on SVBC to provide a hassle free darshan to pilgrims”, he opinioned.

When pilgrim callers Sri Anand from Uravakonda, Ajay from Hyderabad, Venkat Rao from Visakhapatnam sought EO to enhance and modify the online quota of tickets as they could not able to book them, the EO elaborated that we have large number of Kalyanotsavam, sahasra Deepalankara Seva tickets in online quota. But when it comes to Thomala, Archana, they will be very few. “We are working out yet another mechanism of dip system which will come into existence in next couple of months”, he added.

JUST THREE CLICKS TO DONATE TO LORD-TTD EO

Later speaking to media persons, the EO said, TTD mobile app, Govinda Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has been garnering huge response from pilgrims. “Now in just here clicks the devotees are able to donate through e-Donation. There is a huge hike in e-Donations by 100%. TTD has net about 15.64cr through e-Donation in the last few months”, he added.

Elaborating further the EO said, last financial year over 2.68cr pilgrims had darshan of Lord Venkateswara which is 8.3% more than previous year, while the Hundi collections reached 1038cr, room occupancy ratio reached to 104% and laddu prasadam have crossed 10 crores mark taking the total to 10.46cr in last financial year.

SVBC II ON APRIL 1

On the auspicious Tamil New Year Day, SVBC II, Tamil channel will be launched by TTD with all programs in a full fledged manner in HD. “My greetings to all Tamil devotees on their New Year Day. Programs by stalwarts like Namasaran, Velgudi Krishnan has been exclusively designed to muse Tamil audience”, EO maintained.
