TYAGARAJA ARADHANOTSAVAM OBSERVED
Tirupati, 17 January 2017: The 179 th Tyagaraja Aradhanotsavam was observed with devotional fervour in Tirupati and Kakarla by TTD SV College of Music and Dance on Tuesday.
The day commenced with the celestial panchamrutabishekam performed to the Panchaloha statues of Lord Sri Rama, Sri Sita Devi, Sri Lakshmana Swamy, Sri Anjaneya Swamy and Saint Music composer Sri Tyagaraja Swamy in the college premises. Later the deities were brought to Mahati auditorium on a procession.
The college faculty and students presented Tyagaraya Pancharatna Kritis with melody and rhythm touching the sky.
Meanwhile in Kakarka, the home town of Saint Tyagaraja in Prakasam district, special programmes were observed on this occasion.
Principal Smt YVS Padmavathi, special officer Smt Goutami were also present.
