UGADI ASTANAM IN TIRUMALA TEMPLE ON MARCH 31
TIRUMALA, MARCH 22: The temple court ceremony will be performed on the occasion of the Telugu New Year Day on Ugadi on 31st of this month in Tirumala Shrine.
As a part of the auspicious occasion, after Suprabhata Seva, temple cleansing-Suddhi and Thomala Seva (in Ekantam) will be performed. Later the processional deities are provided with Visesha Samarpana and the deities are taken inside the Bangaru Vakili where Asthanam is performed. Before that the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara and Utsava Murthies and also the Commander-in-Chief of Lord Sri Viswaksena will bee dressed in new clothes. After that Sri Jaya Nama Panchanga Shravanam will be rendered by the scholar.
TTD has cancelled Visesha Pooja, Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam and Vasantotsavam in the temple owning to Ugadi.
