Tirupati, 19 January 2024: JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi on Friday announced that in recognition of high standards of quality of education in TTD educational institutions, the University Grants Commission had accorded autonomous status for ten years to Sri Padmavati Degree and PG College, SV Arts, and SGS Arts colleges.
Addressing a media conference at Sri Padmavati Rest House the JEO said of the 33 educational institutions of TTD, three of them bagged autonomous status providing decision-making in improving development of colleges and quality of education.
It included freedom in adopting improvised methods of teaching and conducting exams, and changes in syllabus to match with global competitiveness and thereby reduce study stress among students.
The status also provided an opportunity to conduct the latest technical courses, enhance teaching methods, and open up placement by world-class companies.
LEGEND OF INSTITUTIONS
TTD launched educational institutions to fulfill the educational needs of rural students in the Rayalaseema region over six decades ago. The SV arts was launched in 1945 with 80 students but now has 2700 pupils in 22 courses and bagged NAAC A+ recognition in 2022 on September 13.
The Sri Padmavati Degree and PG College founded in 1952 runs 26 courses with 2800 students and got NAAC A+ recognition on May 10, 2022.
The Sri Govindaraja Swamy Arts College was established in 1952, now has 1850 students in 19 courses, and received NAAC A+ recognition on March 30, 2023.

తిరుపతి, 2024 జ‌న‌వ‌రి 19 ; తిరుప‌తిలోని శ్రీ ప‌ద్మావ‌తి డిగ్రీ మ‌రియు పిజి కళాశాల, ఎస్వీ, ఎస్జిఎస్ ఆర్ట్స్ కళాశాలకు యూనివర్సిటీ గ్రాంట్స్ కమిషన్ 10 సంవత్సరాల పాటు అటానమస్(స్వయంప్రతిపత్తి) హోదా మంజూరు చేసింద‌ని జేఈవో శ్రీమతి సదా భార్గవి తెలిపారు. తిరుప‌తిలోని శ్రీ ప‌ద్మావ‌తి అతిథి భ‌వ‌నంలో శుక్ర‌వారం జేఈవో మీడియా స‌మావేశం నిర్వ‌హించారు.
ఈ సంద‌ర్భంగా జేఈవో మాట్లాడుతూ, టీటీడీ ఆధ్వ‌ర్యంలో నిర్వ‌హిస్తున్న 33 విద్యా సంస్థ‌లలో మూడు క‌ళాశాల‌ల‌కు అటానమస్ హోదా ల‌భించిన‌ట్లు చెప్పారు. ఈ హోదా వల్ల టీటీడీ విద్యా సంస్థ‌ల్లో నాణ్య‌మైన విద్యాప్ర‌మాణాలు, కళాశాలల అభివృద్ధికి స్వతహాగా నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకునే అవకాశం కలుగుతుంద‌న్నారు. విద్యావిధానం, పరీక్షల నిర్వహణ, పోటీ ప్రపంచాన్ని ఎదుర్కొనేలా సిలబస్ లో మార్పులు చేసుకోవడానికి వీలవుతుంద‌ని చెప్పారు. త‌ద్వారా విద్యార్థుల్లో ఒత్తిడి త‌గ్గుతంద‌న్నారు.
మారుతున్న కాలానికి అనుగుణంగా సామాజిక సేవా దృక్పథంతో విద్యా బోధన, ఆధునిక సాంకేతికత ఆధారంగా కోర్సుల నిర్వహణ, మెమరీ బేస్డ్ విద్యావిధానం ఏర్పాటుకు వెసులుబాటు కలుగుతుంద‌న్నారు. ప్రాంగణ ఎంపికలకు ప్రపంచ స్థాయి సంస్థలు ముందుకు వస్తామ‌ని వివ‌రించారు.
ఇదీ కళాశాలల చరిత్ర….
రాయలసీమ జిల్లాలకు చెందిన నిరుపేద పిల్లల విద్యా అవసరాలను తీర్చడానికి తిరుపతిలో వివిధ విద్యా సంస్థ‌ల‌ను టీటీడీ ఏర్పాటు చేసింది. ఇందులో 1945లో 80 మంది విద్యార్థులతో ఎస్వీ ఆర్ట్స్ కళాశాల ప్రారంభమైంది. ప్రస్తుతం కళాశాల నిర్వ‌హిస్తున్న 22 కోర్సుల‌లో 2,700 మంది విద్యార్థులు చదువుకుంటున్నారు. 2022 సెప్టెంబర్ 13న కళాశాల న్యాక్ ఎ ప్లస్ గుర్తింపు పొందింది.
1952లో శ్రీ ప‌ద్మావ‌తి డిగ్రీ మ‌రియు పిజి కళాశాల ప్రారంభమైంది. ప్రస్తుతం కళాశాల నిర్వ‌హిస్తున్న 26 కోర్సుల‌లో 2,800 మంది విద్యార్థులు చదువుకుంటున్నారు. 2022 మే 10న కళాశాల న్యాక్ ఎ ప్లస్ గుర్తింపు పొందింది.
1952లో ఎస్జిఎస్ ఆర్ట్స్ కళాశాల ప్రారంభమైంది. ప్రస్తుతం కళాశాల నిర్వ‌హిస్తున్న 19 కోర్సుల‌లో 1,850 మంది విద్యార్థులు చదువుకుంటున్నారు. 2023 మార్చి 30న కళాశాల న్యాక్ ఎ ప్లస్ గుర్తింపు పొందింది.
