UNION MINISTER FOR HOME AFFAIRS OFFERED PRAYERS IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 10 January 2017: The Honourable Union Minister for Home Affairs Sri Rajnath Singh offered prayers in Tirumala temple on Tuesday morning. Earlier on his arrival at Mahadwaram he was given warm reception.

Later he was briefed about the importance of Lord Venkateswara, His manifestation and the jewels adorned to him by the priests of the temple inside sanctum sanctorum. Later he was rendered Vedasirvachanam by vedic scholars in Ranganayakula mandapam. After the asirvachanam he was offered teertha prasadams and presented with lamination photo of Lord Venkateswara by Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.

Later the honourable minister lauded the efforts of TTD in incident free crowd management and also in providing amenities to the multitude of visiting pilgrims.

TTD Trust Board Members Sri DP Anantha, Sri G Bhanuprakash Reddy, Urban SP Smt Jayalakshmi, DyEOs Sri Rama Rao, Sri Haridranath, OSD Sri Lakshminarayana Yadav and others were also present.
