VARAHA JAYANTHI OBSERVED IN TIRUMALA_ తిరుమలలో వైభవంగా శ్రీ వరాహస్వామి జయంతి

Tirumala, 25 Aug,2017: The annual Varaha Jayanti was observed at Tirumala amidst great religious fervour on Thursday. In connection with the festival, special rituals were conducted at the Bhu Varahaswamy temple situated on the north-west corner of the temple tank, Swami Pushkarini.

Immense importance is attached to the festival which, according to the legends, is believed that it was Lord Varaha Swamy who had donated a piece of land to the presiding deity Lord Venkateswara. As an expression of gratitude, Lord Varaha was blessed with the privilege of accepting the first puja and Naivedyam every day atop the temple town which is being followed even till date.

The Jayanti Utsavam commenced with Punyavachanam followed by Snapana Thirumanjanam to Bhu Varaha swamy. The vedic scholars recited relevant hymns from scriptures while the abhishekam was on. Tirumala Joint Executive officer Sri K.S. Srinivasa Raju and other temple officials took part in this celestial fete.

తిరుమలలో వైభవంగా శ్రీ వరాహస్వామి జయంతి

ఆగస్టు 24, తిరుమల, 2017: ఆదివరాహక్షేత్రమైన తిరుమలలోని శ్రీ భూ వరాహస్వామివారి ఆలయంలో గురువారం ఉదయం వరాహస్వామి జయంతి ఘనంగా జరిగింది.

ఇందులో భాగంగా ఉదయం కలశ స్థాపన, కలశ పూజ, పుణ్యహవచనం చేశారు. ఉదయం 9 నుంచి 10 గంటల మధ్య పాలు, పెరుగు, తేనె, చందనం, కొబ్బరినీళ్లు, వివిధ రకాల పండ్లతో తయారుచేసిన పంచామ తంతో వేదోక్తంగా మూలవర్లకు అభిషేకం నిర్వహించారు.

కలియుగ వైకుంఠంగా భాసిల్లుతున్న తిరుమలలో అగమ శాస్త్రం ప్రకారం ప్రతి సంవత్సరం శ్రీవరాహస్వామి జయంతిని టిటిడి ఘనంగా నిర్వహిస్తోంది. స్థలమహత్యం ప్రకారం తిరుమలలో తొలి పూజ, తొలి నివేదన శ్రీ వరాహస్వామివారికే చేస్తారు. భక్తులు ముందుగా శ్రీభూవరాహస్వామివారిని, ఆ తరువాత శ్రీవారిని దర్శించుకోవడం ఆచారం. శ్రీ మహావిష్ణువు లోక కల్యాణం కోసం శ్రీ వరాహస్వామివారి అవతారమెత్తి హిరణ్యాక్షుని సంహరించి భూదేవిని రక్షించినట్లు పురాణాల ద్వారా తెలుస్తోంది.
